THEATRE FOR YOUTH

Founded in 1961, the Academy Theatre for Youth is the Southeastern leader in artistic programming for children and young adults.

- Our Professional actors come to you, bringing live performances directly to your school, community center or organization.

- Our nationally-acclaimed program presents original plays based on issues parents, teachers and students have told us are of concern to them.

- Our curriculum-based, grade-specific plays are done with professionally-constructed study guides including preparatory and after show exercises.

- All Academy Theatre for Youth performances include drama workshops offered the day of your performance. Students participate in improv exercises that solidify issues presented in our plays.

- Our actors work with the students, eliciting their responses and making them more aware of their own issues and creative energies.
